LL.M. Modules
Curriculum – 161 hours of teaching
Format: Lectures are taught in Singapore over 3 consecutive days per month, from January to October. Exams will be held remotely in June and November. Remote learning facilities will also be available for participants who are unable to attend the course in person. This option will allow online studies from any location and is designed to fit in around your work commitments.

Julien Bergerat
General Counsel & Company Secretary – PRefChem
Julien Bergerat is the General Counsel and Company Secretary of PRefChem, a joint venture formed by Petronas and Saudi Aramco to build and operate the biggest refinery of Malaysia.
Dually qualified (English solicitor and French attorney), he has become an expert in working within diverse and multicultural environments, having been based over the past 18 years in France, Switzerland, Australia, Qatar, Kuwait, Vietnam and now Malaysia. He has during that time advised on Projects related matters such as setting up Joint ventures, negotiating Project Finance documentations or EPC contracts or contract management.

Shamila Neelakandan
Partner & Head of Construction Claims and Expert Services, Asia Pacific – HKA
Shamila Neelakandan is a dual qualified Lawyer (Malaysia and UK) with 27 years of legal, contracts and commercial experience in the power generation and water desalination, oil & gas, and rail & infrastructure sectors throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Shamila is an expert in managing complex claims.
Shamila’s wider experience include tender negotiations, procurement, commercial strategy and dispute management. She continues to undertake advocacy work in consulting services through presentations and case management services in dispute resolution proceedings.Shamila previously headed HKA’s Malaysian and Singapore operations and now heads their Construction Claims and Expert Services for the Asia Pacific region.

Sir Vivian Ramsey KC
International Arbitrator & International Judge of Singapore International Commercial Court
Vivian Ramsey KC acts as an arbitrator, mediator, expert and dispute board member on major construction projects around the world. He is also an International Judge of the Singapore International Commercial Court.
He originally qualified and worked as a chartered civil engineer, before qualifying and practicing as a barrister. He became head of Keating Chambers in London in 1992, was appointed a High Court judge in 2005 and became judge in charge of the Technology and Construction Court in London from 2007 to 2010. He is the co-editor of Keating on Construction Contracts, now in its 10th edition, and is also a Visiting Professor at the Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College, London.
