EXECUTIVE PROGRAMME 2021

THE EMERGING IMPORTANCE
OF SPACE LAW

Monday 5th to Wednesday 7th July 2021
From 3pm to 6pm, Singapore Time (GMT+8)

WEBINAR

This course covers how space law is evolving to become an in-demand area of expertise for nations as well as corporations that seek to exploit the increasingly profitable industries associated with space.

Surprisingly, many countries, small and large, have begun to develop robust and growing space industries, while at the same time, old Cold War space rivalries have re-emerged. Meanwhile, space is no longer simply the domain of nation states: this past year has shown an explosion of space exploration, both public and private, bringing opportunities to even citizens to literally reach for the stars.

With all of the change and innovation in this sector, there is a growing need to appreciate the various aspects of space law relevant to both public and private organizations, especially universal areas of importance such as space debris mitigation and satellite licensing.

Broadly, the goals of this course include: (i) Exposing the participants to Space Law & Policies; (ii) Building the confidence & capability of the participants in the application of Space Laws & Policies; and, (iii) Enhancing the understanding of nuances in Private & Public Space Law and its implications.
