“Although my path had led me elsewhere, between the beautiful cities of London, Rome and Luxembourg I was ready for my next challenge. For that, my academic journey – which mostly focused on common law- needed to be enriched with a little of civil and comparative law, and what better place than Pantheon Assas?
With this in mind, as I was exploring options for my courses I discovered the LLM in International Business Law a course which provided not only the opportunity to learn intellectually but also practically. I was confronted with incredible professors, professionals from renowned law firms and students which, to this day, have become a significant part of my new life in the Ville Lumière.”
“We were taught by professional in their fields and we had theoretical courses at the same time. This is quite unique and forces you to make personal connections with those working in the field which was a great help to make business contacts.
I would highly recommend Assas LLM in International Business Law program because Assas has a great reputation in France and the quality of teaching is very high. You meet many different kinds of professors with many different teaching approaches. Finally, it was very interesting to meet people from different countries who could offer input about their legal system. Studying at Assas was a very enriching experience!”
“If you’re still in the process of considering which destination to choose, I would highly recommend considering the International Business Law program at Paris-Panthéon-Assas.
The mix of practical classes and theoretical courses taught by prominent scholars from Paris-Panthéon-Assas allows us to grasp the basics of International Business Law from different perspectives, starting from corporate M&A, Intellectual Property, Competition Law, and so on and so forth.
Having classes in both local and foreign legal firms in Paris, including a number of British and US legal firms from ‘magic circles’, was a great opportunity to build a powerful network.
The program is a great opportunity for those of us who are planning to pursue a legal career in France, as it allows us to network with partners from renowned firms. This is how I got a job here in Paris!
Not only does the LLM has an excellent academic program, but it also provides students with very pleasant experiences such as tours in Paris (visiting the Senate, for instance), and aims at giving us knowledge of how the law works in France.
It was a really beneficial experience for me and my classmates and I’m really grateful for Paris-Panthéon-Assas.
If you’re in the beginning of your legal career or are looking for additional background in International Business Law, then this LLM definitely must be on your list.”
“The LL.M. in European Law was an enrichment in every respect. Academically, the program was extremely diverse, not only due to the different areas of EU law that were taught, but also thanks to the various professors from the Paris-Panthéon-Assas university as well as from other universities all over Europe, including their respective teaching and examination styles. The possibility to choose a seminar taught in French or to write a paper allowed students to individualize the program according to their preferences. The size of the seminars led to lively interaction and exciting discussions.
Highlights included study trips to Luxembourg, Brussels and Strasbourg – those also gave us some practical insights into how European law works in practice and what career opportunities there are in this area. Thanks to the LL.M. I met inspiring people from all over the world.
In conclusion I can only say that I had the best time studying and living in Paris!”
“Enrolling in the LL.M. AWArDS program was one of the best decisions of my academic career. The experience was enriched by a diverse and international cohort, coupled with rigorous academic standards that fostered deep learning and growth.
The program’s emphasis on both theoretical foundations and practical applications provided me with a robust understanding of arbitration and dispute settlement. A distinctive feature of this program is that many lectures are held at renowned law firms, offering a firsthand glimpse into the professional environment and operations of practitioners. This unique exposure not only enhances learning but also provides additional motivation to delve deeper into the field. Furthermore, the program facilitated the development of lifelong friendships and a valuable professional network that I cherish deeply.”
“There is no better place to explore Public Law and Democracy than at Paris-Panthéon-Assas Université! The LL.M. program, offered in partnership with the Institut Michel Villey, provides a unique blend of public law, legal theory, and the study of democracy. As someone who was already practicing law, I realized there was still so much to learn about the intricate concepts of governance, democracy, and their broader implications. This program has opened numerous doors for me, as well as invaluable insights and opportunities, more specifically in international law.
I’m deeply grateful for having had the chance to study at one of Europe’s most renowned legal institutions. Being surrounded by students with impressive academic and professional backgrounds pushed me to be better in every way. Throughout my time in this LL.M., I was privileged to learn from leading French and international scholars who not only imparted knowledge but also inspired us. The program included enriching experiences, such as visits to the Sénat, the Assemblée Nationale, the Conseil Constitutionnel and the Cour Nationale du Droit d’Asile, which provided firsthand exposure to democratic institutions in action.
The connections I made and the community we built are sources of pride for me. This LL.M. has been more than an academic pursuit. I encourage you to join this exceptional journey.”
“The LL.M. AWArDS provides a perfectly crafted balance between academic excellence and practical experience. The University of Panthéon-Assas rightly bears the title as one of the leading universities in Europe. This distinction combined with the teaching by distinguished professors of arbitration and international law provides all those academic prerequisites for academic excellence. However, what distinguishes this master’s degree is the teaching by seasoned practitioners of international arbitration. A first-hand experience with top-tier law firms arms the candidate with the practical background to further excel his/hers professional advancement. The modules are structured in a way as to prepare the candidate for the international arbitration practice. Moot-courts, memorial drafting and oral advocacy assessments lead to the creation of a complete profile of the candidate.
As arbitration in its essence is inclusive, so is this LL.M. by establishing one of the most diverse communities. Thus, the candidate is offered the rare opportunity to obtain valuable knowledge of common and civil law background. Post graduation, I have received an offer from one of the leading international arbitration law firms in Paris, and this underlines perfectly the prestige of the LL.M. AWArDS and its international recognition.”
