Paris Campus – Shaping the Future of International Arbitration: Prof. Malik Laazouzi in Sri Lanka

Professor Malik Laazouzi, Director of the LL.M. Assas World Arbitration and Dispute Settlement (LL.M. AWArDS) at Paris-Panthéon-Assas university, recently contributed to key discussions on international arbitration during his visit to Sri Lanka.

On 16 January 2025, he participated in a roundtable discussion at the APIIT Law School, Colombo, focusing on “International Commercial Arbitration”, alongside experts Jacob Grierson and Niran De Silva K.C., moderated by Janaka Basuriya.

On 17 January 2025, Professor Laazouzi delivered a keynote speech at Sri Lanka Law College on ‘Paris vs. London: A Comparative Analysis of Arbitration Seat Venues and the Handling of Anti-Suit Injunctions,‘ alongside a distinguished panel of experts, including Jacob Grierson and Niran De Silva K.C. as panelists, with Janaka Basuriya serving as moderator.
