What we do: Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas is considered as France’s first law university and is home to the origins of French Law, with more than 800+ years of history. Since 2011, the university has opened 3 more overseas campuses: in Singapore, Mauritius and Dubai. Currently, those campuses are branded under the name International Law School of Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas. Strongly committed to expanding its global footprint, and consolidate its presence across its international campuses, Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas endeavours to further develop its programmes and expand its educational offer in order to attract a growing number of students across its 4 campuses.

Reporting to: Executive Director (Mauritius Campus), working in close collaboration with each Campus Deans & Managers

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Community Management (30%)

  • Daily community management of Assas International social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube);
  • Grow the social media community and build engagement across the various platforms, including engagement with students/alumni on social channels by responding to their posts and comments;
  • Analyse data and analytics from the various social media platforms and website (incl. Google Analytics, with the creation of conversion funnels) and provide recommendations to improve and optimise ads & website performance;
  • Collaborate with the University’s communication department (Paris Campus) to relay content and promote the international campuses of the university;

Content development and planning (50%)

  • Develop a chronological content calendar spanning news stories, videos, social media posts and other communications elements and bring innovative content ideas; spot useful ‘unplanned’ content opportunities as they arise and respond/ leverage appropriately in a timely manner;
  • Implement the content calendar through posts scheduling on the social media platforms;
  • Brainstorm, write, edit and assign content as needed for a range of internal and external purposes, including web stories, alumni profiles, newsletters, online events and occasionally physical marketing pieces
  • Create designs (artworks, including photo editing and basic video editing for short videos and/or .gifs);
  • Create emailing Templates using the company CRM (design, copywriting and editing);
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice appropriate to the author/poster, and optimised for the intended channel;
  • Liaise with the webmarketer to ensure a synergy between the communication strategy and website development strategy, including the timely relay of communication

Lead Generation (20%)

  • Lead the creation of paid campaigns across social media platforms (Facebook business manager, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Ads) that drive lead acquisition, retention, engagement, and student recruitment goals for the university’s overseas campuses – especially for Mauritius and Singapore Campuses;

Who we are looking for*:

We are looking for a social media enthusiast who can develop and implement the social media & communication strategy of Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas’ international campuses (Paris, Dubai, Mauritius and Singapore). Your goal will be to grow the online presence and reach of Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas’ International Law School in order to drive student recruitment efforts. You are an innovative and original thinker with a self-starter approach. To be successful, you should have a background managing social media (including paid promotion) and possess excellent knowledge of the main global social media channels and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, LinkedIn, Twitter). You be able to work autonomously, in a hybrid and flexible manner (online/on campus) with a team based in Paris, Singapore, Mauritius and Dubai. You must be comfortable interacting by Zoom/Teams/Whatsapp several times a week. You must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while exercising prudent judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate holds at least a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s would be a plus) in communications, digital marketing or equivalent degree, with at least (3) years of professional experience. Knowledge and experience using Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, CRM systems is a must for this role. You must be fluent in English and French, mastering grammar fundamentals as well as possess impeccable writing and editing skills in both these languages. You should be able to use creative tools such as Canva, photo editing and basic video editing tools, with a good eye for visual impact of content. Management experience is preferred but not required (project management, people management, and/or intern/student management).

Present in Mauritius since 2015 and in partnership with Uniciti Education Hub, Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas currently offers a Bachelor of Laws LL.B. (Hons) as well as an LL.M. both taught in English by a blend of renowned professors from the Paris Campus of Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas as well as recognised Mauritian law practitioners and professionals. Strongly committed to expanding its global footprint, and consolidate its presence in Mauritius, Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas has recently invested in brand new premises within the unique and beautiful setting of the Pierrefonds Campus. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration

  • Process requests for enrolled students (visa, authorisations, letters, bank transfers and all other document required);
  • Assist in drafting letters, emails and other documents;
  • Manage the classes timetable & booking of study spaces for students and professors;
  • Assist to organize and manage exams;
  • Ensure that enrolled students files and payment information are up to date on the CRM & ensure the transfer of all paper-based information to the CRM;
  • Request quotes from suppliers and follow-up with the payment process;
  • Book meetings as and when requested – including Zoom meetings for classes and other events;
  • Assist in the collection of information and preparation of files/requests from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), MQA (Mauritius Qualification Authority) and HRDC;
  • Attend the Assas Main Office front office to welcome students, prospects, professors & other guests and redirect them when required to the correct person/service;
  • Attend phone enquiries (university’s main phone number);

Operation

  • Assist in the organization of on and off-campus activities;
  • Ensure that all provisions are made for classes to run smoothly (print documents for professors/students as and when required; liaise with the providers to ensure F&B is provided in a timely manner when applicable etc.)
  • Assist for simple IT-related queries (assist professors to set up their presentation for the class, ensure that the internet connection is operational; set-up Zooms & webcams for classes & activities and assist in simple IT-related matters);

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a highly meticulous, well organised, detailed-oriented candidate. You must be a problem-solver with a can-do attitude, flexible, with a willingness to learn and open to feedback. You must possess excellent administration skills, be customer-oriented and ideally have experience in dealing with a variety of people in a professional and engaging manner, to uphold Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas values of excellence and commitment to provide top-notch education at the international level.

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate holds at least a Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of work experience. You must be fluent and have an excellent command in English and French. Basic IT knowledge (including Microsoft 365, Zoom, Adobe…) is a must. Since an important part of the job is to attend to student queries, we are looking for someone with exceptional listening and communication skills, who is confident and professional. You will need to be customer focused and be understanding of student needs with a highly professional attitude under all circumstances. Previous work experience in the education administration field and understanding of a university’s operations will be a definite advantage.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This is a full-time role, with flexible working hours based on classes requirements. Some classes may run in the evenings until 9pm, and some are occasionally conducted on Saturdays.

Paris-Panthéon-Assas University Scholarship Programme [MAURITIANS ONLY]

Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas is proud to launch its first undergraduate scholarship programme in Mauritius for its Bachelor of Laws, LL.B. (Hons)!

The programme aims to award partial scholarship equivalent to 50% of the yearly tuition fees to deserving students on the basis of need and merit. Candidates must be citizens of the Republic of Mauritius and must demonstrate a commitment to contribute to the social and/or economic development of Mauritius.

Scholarship Application Guidelines

In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, candidates should match the criteria below:

  • Be a citizen of Mauritius;
  • Prove above average academic performance, possess a broad general education and have a distinct interest in the law field;
  • Be open to develop their personal points of view and be highly motivated and able to convince us of their goals in life;
  • Must have received either a Full or Conditional Offer on the Bachelor of Laws, LL.B. (Hons) programme;
  • Submit their Scholarship Application by the 15th of July, 2022 at latest.

Visit of the Deputy Director at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs

We were thrilled to welcome on campus Mrs. Nadia FANTON, Deputy Director for Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Region at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, accompanied by Mr. Patrick Parrot, Education Cooperation Attaché of the Embassy of France in Mauritius for a courtesy visit.

They visited our institution and met with our Executive Director Ekaley Joulia who gave them a tour of our classrooms, lounge and offices. They also visited ENSA Nantes Mauritius, Vatel Mauritius and met Steena Kistnen, Head of Education from our partner Uniciti Education Hub.

Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas is proud of you ! You have been through the toughest time of the pandemic but you made it with flying colors. You deserve this celebration!

We are particularly grateful to HE. Mrs. Florence Caussé-Tissier, Ambassador of the France to the Republic of Mauritius for her presence during the event, invited by the Dean of the LL.M., Prof. Malik Laazouzi who hosted the ceremony.

Assas Law Society – Debate competition 2022

Congratulations to the entire Assas Law Society team from the Mauritius Campus for this great initiative!

Their first debate competition was a momentous success. They touched upon important topics that were pertinently debated by the students of Panthéon-Assas université. The students got the opportunity to demonstrate their presentation, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, as well as a deep understanding of the law during this fruitful event!

Visit of a delegation from the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas

Visit of a delegation from the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, led by President Stéphane Braconnier, to the Mauritius campus.

Mauritius is open!

After more than 20 months without the possibility to travel to the Mauritius campus due to the pandemic, a delegation from the University Paris 2 Pantheon-Assas was finally able to visit Mauritius.

President of the University, Stephane Braconnier, accompanied by Emmanuelle Chevreau, Vice-President in charge of International Relations, Anthony Mergey, Dean of the Mauritius Campus, and Malik Laazouzi, Dean of the LL.M, have been welcomed this week by Ekaley Joulia, Executive Director of the freshly renovated Mauritius Campus.

This trip was an opportunity to meet the Mauritian professors and students, pay a courtesy visit to key institutions as the Higher Education Commission (the Regulatory Body for tertiary education in Mauritius), the Quality Assurance Authority (which promotes, maintains and enhances quality assurance of higher education in line with international high quality standards), and The French Embassy in Mauritius.

The delegation of the University was also invited for a lunch organised by our local partner, the Medine Group, represented among others by its CEO, Dhiren Ponnusamy, the General Manager of Uniciti Education Hub, Steena Kistnen and the Operations Manager, Karveen Puddoo, whom we would like to thank for its their continuous involvement in the development of our presence in Mauritius and Africa.
