Bertrand CRETTEZ is a professor of economics at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. He has been studying the economic analysis of law for over a decade. He is the author of several publications in this field. His areas of research include harmonization, economics and legal history, and property and growth.

He is the Co-Director of the BA in Economics and Finance (Hons) on the Mauritius Campus.
