Ayesha Jeewa has been practising as an Attorney since 1988. She is qualified in civil, commercial as well as criminal law. She has had a cross sectional experience in all fields of legal practice as attorney. Ayesha was the first chairperson of the Open University of Mauritius. She was the first Mauritian chairperson of the Distance Education Association of Southern Africa (DEASA) a SADC association. She has lectured at the level of the bar. She speaks regularly at conferences, was the secretary of the Mauritius Law Society for 8 years. She holds an Executive MBA and is currently a registered candidate for a PhD on the Constitution of Mauritius.
