Panthéon Assas LL.M. Students association (PALS)
Launched in December 2024, the students association PALS (Panthéon Assas LLM Students) aims to foster a strong, supportive community among LL.M. students in Paris by creating ample opportunities for networking, academic collaboration, and professional development. The goal of PALS society is to unite students from diverse LL.M. programs, connecting them with their peers before, during, and after their studies to facilitate the sharing of invaluable experience and advice and create a lasting global network of legal professionals.
Objectives of PALS association:
- Pre-arrival support: Help prospective and incoming students prepare for their move to Paris, providing guidance on visa processes, accommodation, and adapting to life in the city. Pre-arrival webinars, online social events, and a dedicated mentoring system will facilitate this.
- In-program activities: While students are enrolled in their LL.M. programs, the association will organize regular academic and social events, such as guest lectures from legal professionals, panel discussions, networking sessions, and cultural outings. These activities will help students build personal and professional relationships across different LL.M. programs in Paris.
- Post-graduation network: Even after completing their studies, members will remain connected through alumni networks, offering opportunities for career mentorship and job placement assistance. Annual reunions and virtual meetings will ensure that the connections made during the LLM remain strong and active.
PALS association is led by a group of LL.M. students representing the 4 LL.M. programmes of the PARIS campus ( the LL.M. AWArDS, the LL.M. European Law, the LL.M. International Business Law, and the LL.M. Public Law and Democracy ).
