Mauritius Campus Graduation: Honouring Our Graduates and 10 Years of Assas Excellence

On Tuesday, 22 July 2025, Paris-Panthéon-Assas University proudly held its annual graduation ceremony at the Mauritius campus, honouring the accomplishments of students from the LL.B., Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and LL.M. International Business Law programmes.
This highly anticipated event marked the culmination of years of rigorous academic work, determination, and personal growth. The graduating cohorts — whether completing the intensive three-year LL.B. journey or the demanding one-year LL.M. — were celebrated for their dedication and resilience.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Professor Anthony Mergey, President of the Mauritius campus, who addressed the graduates, their families, faculty, and guests. His presence added a special dimension to the occasion, as the campus also celebrated a major milestone: 10 years of academic excellence in Mauritius.
Since its founding in 2015, under the leadership of Professor Stéphane Braconnier (current President of Paris-Panthéon-Assas University), the Mauritius campus has played a vital role in the university’s broader strategy of internationalisation. As one of the three campuses under the Assas International label, it was established to serve the region of the Indian Ocean and Africa, providing students with access to world-class legal education within a global framework.
Over the past decade, the Mauritius campus has become a hub for legal and business education in the region, distinguished by its commitment to academic rigour, international perspectives, and student success. The graduation ceremony was an opportunity to reflect on these achievements, thank all those who have contributed to the campus’s development, and look ahead to future growth and impact.
To our graduates: your success is a testament to the university’s mission and values. As you move forward into your professional journeys, you carry with you the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained through your time at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. Congratulations on this achievement — and welcome to the Assas Alumni network.
