Thank you to Sylvain Humbert, legal advisor at the Permanent Representation of France to the European Union, for his presentation on the roles and challenges faced by the different teams working alongside the Permanent Representative, Mr. Philippe Léglise-Costa.

Visit to the European Commission and an insightful presentation by Peter Bombay, senior advisor to the Directorate-General for Aviation of the European Commission. Topics of both competition and mergers & acquisitions were discussed to highlight the Commission’s role (not always understood) and the new challenges arising from the growing protectionism implemented by the new U.S. administration.
Finally, students were received by the German Permanent representation to the European Commission and were given a presentation on the role and challenges of the European Parliament.
