Assas Welcome Desk: a « Christmas tea party » for the LL.M. students at the Paris campus
On December 6th, Wednesday, students from the four LL.M. programmes at the Paris campus came together for a convivial gathering, enjoying a ‘Christmas Tea Party’ organised by the Assas Welcome Desk team.
Greeted by the student ambassadors of the Assas Welcome Desk and Emmanuelle CHEVREAU, Vice President overseeing international affairs, students from the four LL.M. programmes at the Paris campus had the chance to gather and engage in conversations over Alsatian Kugelhopf and mulled wine.
Students enrolled in LL.M. at the University Paris-Panthéon-Assas, coming from different backgrounds and countries (Greece, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Brazil, United States, Argentina, China, etc.), are pursuing programmes in English offered by Assas International.
Holder of a master’s degree and sometimes already engaged in professional life, these students come to specialize in legal fields such as international arbitration, international business law, European law, or the field of democracy and public law, with the aim of holding high positions within international companies in the financial and legal sectors.
This Christmas Party, organized as part of the Assas Welcome Desk initiative, allowed international students to meet and discuss these different topics and their attraction to France. Indeed, beyond the central geographical position of Paris in Europe, the choice of the Paris campus reflects a particular sensitivity to French culture, which is widely expressed.
