Carbon pricing policies: Legal and Economic Perspectives
A brand new summer course, delivered by Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, has been created to introduce students to the main principles of carbon price policies from legal and economic perspectives.
This unique 2-week course will allow participants from all over the world to understand the costs and benefits of carbon-pricing system, with a specific interest in carbon-market designs in Asia and Europe.
The objective of this course is to equip students with the necessary tools to apply the main concepts of energy law and environmental economics to concrete situations, e.g., the conclusion of energy contracts, access to the energy network infrastructure and the realization of energy investments. The ultimate goal of this course is to trigger an interest in the development of regulatory solutions to the energy challenges of the 21st century.
The programme takes place on the Singapore Campus.
Format
The course will consist of a mix of conventional lectures mingled with interactive sequences, such as game simulations, case studies and multimedia materials.
Students will also have a chance to develop their own carbon pricing policy for a specific industry/sector.
- Audience: Professionals and Students with law or economic background (minimum bachelor, 2nd year). No economic or quantitative background is required.
- Fees: € Eur 1,500 or $ SGD 2,200 (tuition price).
- Location: Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, Singapore campus is located at INSEAD Asia campus, with easy access and a relaxed environment. The summer programme is also an opportunity to discover the city of Singapore.
